--Solar Project--

In Haiti, alternative energy production is very desirable due to the lack of continuous line power and the high cost of fuel (~$5.00/gal) to operate generators. We have a plan to outfit our facility with solar and wind energy production in 2013. We need your assistance to fund this capital purchase. We are currently scoping a project that will reach $22,000, and your help is needed.

The benefits to almost 200 children will be: cooling in the classrooms and living quarters via the commercial grade fans we installed, lighting in the evenings, continuous refrigeration of foods, continuous filling of water tank via our deep well, and finally, communication and education opportunities via the birth of a computer lab.

Ryan Epps Home for Children is a safe haven for orphaned boys and girls in Haiti.  We believe that children are the future even in such an impoverished place as Haiti.  It is therefore our mission to provide these young ones a place which is nurturing, safe, and welcoming.  Here they can be raised with attention to their physical, intellectual and spiritual growth in an atmosphere of Christian love.
